**Role: Software Engineer (API / Backend)**
We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain the server-side logic and APIs that power our AI safety tools. You will play a crucial role in developing robust, scalable, and secure backend systems that integrate with our machine learning models.

**Responsibilities:**
*   Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services and APIs, primarily using Python.
*   Build infrastructure to support LLM interactions, data processing pipelines, and security analysis tools.
*   Collaborate with ML engineers and data scientists to integrate models and algorithms into production systems.
*   Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of backend applications.
*   Implement security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
*   Work with databases, message queues, and other backend technologies.
*   Contribute to system architecture discussions and decisions.

**Ideal Candidate:**
*   Strong proficiency in backend development, particularly with Python and relevant frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Django, Flask).
*   Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
*   Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
*   Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
*   Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
*   Interest in or experience with LLMs, machine learning concepts, or cybersecurity is beneficial.
*   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
*   Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team.
