At 9 Mothers Defense, we are seeking an experienced Embedded Robotics Engineer to join our innovative team. We specialize in building AI-driven defense systems, and our current projects involve developing robotic turrets capable of intercepting hostile drones. This role requires expertise in embedded systems, real-time control, and robotics frameworks. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and testing robotic components that are critical to our defense solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement embedded systems using Python on Jetson platforms - Develop and optimize control systems using CAN/EtherCAT buses - Integrate high-speed cameras and sensors into robotic platforms - Implement real-time PID/servo control algorithms - Work with ROS (Robot Operating System) for system integration - Optimize systems for low-power consumption and high reliability - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including computer vision and machine learning specialists - Troubleshoot and debug complex hardware-software systems - Document technical designs and implementation details Required Skills and Experience: - 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development - Proficiency in Python and C/C++ - Strong understanding of real-time operating systems - Experience with robotics frameworks like ROS - Knowledge of CAN/EtherCAT communication protocols - Familiarity with hardware interfacing and sensor integration - Experience with Jetson platforms for edge computing - Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on system reliability - Strong debugging skills for complex hardware systems Ideal Candidate: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related field - Proven track record in developing embedded systems for real-world applications - Experience with robotics platforms and autonomous systems - Strong understanding of control theory and real-time systems - Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts clearly - Passion for defense technology and security applications - Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment We offer competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology with real-world impact.
