Founding Full-stack Engineer

Aero is looking for a Founding Full-stack Engineer to help build the technical foundation of our generative AI platform. As a founding engineer, you will own the entire product surface—from infrastructure to polished user interfaces. You will move fast, ship daily, and lay the groundwork for Aero’s deep-research revenue platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement the full-stack architecture for our AI-powered knowledge access platform
• Collaborate with technical co-founders to define product vision and technical strategy
• Build and maintain scalable web applications and APIs
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability
• Mentor junior engineers and shape engineering culture
• Ship daily in fast-paced, iterative development

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of full-stack development experience
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and cloud technologies
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and databases
• Experience with React, Node.js, and modern web frameworks
• Strong problem-solving skills and architectural thinking
• Passion for engineering excellence and ownership

We offer competitive salaries of $160k-$220k plus meaningful equity. This is a full-time onsite role in New York City.
