Linux Kernel eBPF DPDK Systems Programming Performance Optimization Back End Engineer Staff Engineer

You'll work on problems that directly impact millions of users across our cloud platform and security solutions.

Recent projects we've shipped include:
*   Hardware offload of network firewall rules for massive performance gains
*   eBPF tracing implementations across one of the world's largest CDNs

**Key Responsibilities:**
*   Design and implement high-performance systems
*   Optimize network infrastructure for maximum efficiency
*   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges
*   Develop and maintain Linux kernel modules and drivers
*   Profile and optimize system performance bottlenecks
*   Implement innovative solutions using eBPF and DPDK
*   Contribute to the development of Akamai's core networking technologies

**Required Skills:**
*   Proven experience with Linux kernel development
*   Deep understanding of eBPF (Extended Berkeley Packet Filter)
*   Knowledge of DPDK (Data Plane Development Kit)
*   Strong systems programming background (C/C++)
*   Experience with performance optimization techniques
*   Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, etc.)
*   Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
