Company: Akkio is building an agentic AI platform to help media agencies leverage all of their data across the campaign lifecycle. Think AI-powered audience building, media mix modeling, campaign optimization, analysis and reporting. Akkio’s platform combines state-of-the-art ML technology with a simple, intuitive interface to ensure agencies can easily infuse data into every decision they make to enhance client outcomes. Role: As a Senior Data Engineer at Akkio, you will play an essential role in designing and developing our customer data pipeline and client onboarding process. The ideal candidate will be an expert in SQL and well-versed in Python, with experience with automation solutions such as dbt. You will collaborate with both Akkio and Akkio’s customers’ engineers to identify commonalities and build sustainable and repeatable large data pipelines.

Responsibilities:
*   Work with large datasets from a variety of customers, all with privacy concerns.
*   Operate in a fast-paced environment to bring customers value quickly.
*   Continuously optimize, standardize, and improve code and processes.
*   Build systems that run reliably, and report/alert reliably when they fail.

Qualifications:
*   Strong SQL skills and experience with at least one large cloud database (esp Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks).
*   Strong data modeling skills, e.g. when to normalize vs denormalize data, when STAR vs flattened tables make more sense, etc.
*   Good experience with Python and a data pipeline tool, preferably dbt.
*   Demonstrable knowledge of computer science fundamentals, whether by degree or otherwise.
*   5+ years of experience as a data engineer.

Bonus:
*   Experience with scheduling / workflow management tools like Airflow.
*   Experience with analytics tools such as Dimension Labs.
