Role: As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Core Product team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the server-side logic and APIs that power Aleph’s user experience and integrations. You will work closely with frontend engineers and the product team to deliver features that make our product intuitive and powerful, including the backend systems supporting our web app and add-ins for tools like Excel and Google Sheets.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Build and manage APIs for the frontend application and external integrations.
- Work with databases like MongoDB and BigQuery.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, designers, and product managers.
- Implement security and data protection best practices.
- Deploy and manage applications on GCP using Docker.

Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced backend engineer proficient in Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of backend architecture, APIs, and database design (MongoDB, BigQuery).
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and containerization (Docker).
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Experience working collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Familiarity with FP&A concepts is a plus.
