Role: As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be instrumental in building and scaling the foundational infrastructure and backend systems that power the Aleph platform. You will focus on data ingestion, processing, storage, and the overall reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. This role involves working with technologies like Python, MongoDB, GCP, and potentially BigQuery and Docker, ensuring our platform can handle complex data operations efficiently and securely.

Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable platform services and infrastructure on GCP.
- Develop and optimize data ingestion pipelines and processing workflows.
- Manage and scale database systems (MongoDB, potentially BigQuery).
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure system health and performance.
- Work on infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies (e.g., using Docker).
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to understand their infrastructure needs and provide solutions.
- Ensure platform security, compliance (SOC 2), and best practices.

Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced platform or backend engineer with a strong focus on infrastructure, scalability, and reliability.
- Proficiency in backend languages like Python.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (GCP strongly preferred).
- Experience with database management (NoSQL like MongoDB, and potentially data warehouses like BigQuery).
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes is a plus).
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Experience working in a remote, collaborative environment.
