Apsis Labs seeks a skilled Staff Frontend Engineer who is primarily focused on the frontend but comfortable across the full stack. We are a small, distributed software consultancy building web and mobile applications for a variety of clients.

**The Role:**
As a Staff Frontend Engineer, you will be instrumental in building beautiful and functional user interfaces for our clients' applications. While the focus is frontend, you should be comfortable diving into the backend when needed. As part of a small team, you'll likely wear multiple hats and work closely with clients, making strong communication and relationship-building skills essential. You'll work within our 'almost agile' framework, often as part of small, dedicated teams or augmenting client teams.

**Responsibilities:**
*   Design, develop, and maintain high-quality user interfaces.
*   Collaborate with backend engineers and designers.
*   Contribute across the full stack as needed.
*   Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
*   Participate in requirements analysis and project design.
*   Embrace working in new technical stacks.

**Ideal Candidate:**
*   Proven experience in frontend development with a strong portfolio.
*   Comfortable with backend technologies and databases (we often use Ruby on Rails, React, JVM/Spring, PostgreSQL, AWS).
*   A generalist mindset, eager to learn and adapt to different technologies.
*   Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
*   Experience working directly with clients is a plus.
*   Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely.
