Role Description:
As a Platform Engineer at Base Power, you will be instrumental in developing cutting-edge energy trading systems, distributed telemetry infrastructure, operational growth engines, and a reimagined power experience—bringing energy into the 21st century. You will work on critical infrastructure that ensures the reliability and scalability of our distributed energy storage network. Your work will directly contribute to making electricity more reliable and affordable.

Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient backend systems and infrastructure.
- Develop and manage data ingestion pipelines for real-time grid conditions and fleet telemetry.
- Build and operate commanding platforms for controlling the distributed energy fleet.
- Collaborate with firmware, controls, and hardware teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
- Contribute to building a resilient factory execution software platform.
- Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of our cloud infrastructure.

Ideal Candidate:
- Experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
- Proficiency in backend programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, Java, Rust).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of databases, networking, and system design principles.
- Passion for solving complex problems in the energy sector.
