Beacon AI is seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing the core backend systems that power our aviation technology platform. You will work on building scalable APIs, data processing pipelines, and infrastructure that enables our front-end applications and in-cockpit systems to function seamlessly.

Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing RESTful APIs that integrate with various systems and devices
- Developing data processing pipelines to handle large volumes of flight and operational data
- Building and maintaining microservices architecture to ensure system scalability and reliability
- Collaborating with frontend and mobile teams to deliver cohesive user experiences
- Optimizing database performance and ensuring data integrity
- Implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Troubleshooting and debugging complex system issues

The ideal candidate should have:
- Proven experience in backend development with languages like TypeScript or Python
- Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Knowledge of distributed systems and RESTful API design
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with agile development methodologies
