Machine Learning Engineer

**About Beam:** Beam is an ultrafast AI inference platform. We built a serverless runtime that launches GPU-backed containers in less than 1 second and quickly scales out to thousands of GPUs. Developers use our platform to serve apps to millions of users around the globe. We're working on challenging problems, including low-level systems development, efficiently packing thousands of workloads into GPUs across multiple clouds, and working with cutting-edge technologies like GPU checkpoint restore and CRIU.

**About The Role:** We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and deploying machine learning models and algorithms that power our AI inference platform. You will collaborate with our engineering team to integrate ML models into our serverless runtime, ensuring optimal performance and scalability. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies while making a significant impact on our product.

**Key Responsibilities:**
* Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms
* Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate ML models into our serverless runtime
* Optimize model performance and scalability for global deployment
* Conduct research on new ML techniques and technologies
* Troubleshoot and debug complex ML systems
* Work with large datasets and experiment with different ML approaches
* Monitor and improve model performance in production
* Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and AI

**Required Skills:**
* Proven experience in machine learning and AI
* Strong programming skills in Python or similar languages
* Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
* Understanding of distributed systems and GPU computing
* Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex systems
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills

**Compensation:** The estimated pay range for this role is $120,000 - $200,000. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Beam's equity plan.
