**About Beam:** Beam is an ultrafast AI inference platform. We built a serverless runtime that launches GPU-backed containers in less than 1 second and quickly scales out to thousands of GPUs. Developers use our platform to serve apps to millions of users around the globe.

**About The Role:** We are seeking a Software Engineer, Platform to join our team. In this role, you will design and build the core platform infrastructure that powers our AI inference services. You will work on ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of our platform. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on our product while working with cutting-edge technologies.

**Key Responsibilities:**
* Design and implement platform features and infrastructure
* Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of the platform
* Work on containerization, orchestration, and network optimization
* Develop tools for monitoring and debugging platform issues
* Collaborate with security teams to implement secure-by-design principles
* Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud computing
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues

**Required Skills:**
* Proficiency in systems programming languages (Go, Rust, C++)
* Experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure
* Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex systems
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills

**Compensation:** The estimated pay range for this role is $173,000 - $202,000. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Beam's equity plan.
