Full-Stack Engineer

Better Stack is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to join our growing team of software builders. We are engineers, making tools we always wanted, and we’re looking for passionate developers who can ship end-to-end features while maintaining exceptional user experiences. This role combines backend development, frontend implementation, and product thinking to create impactful solutions for our users.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and deploy secure, performant, and scalable code independently
• Collaborate with our CTO, CEO, and designer to deliver complete features from backend to frontend
• Optimize application performance while maintaining clean, maintainable code
• Engage in pragmatic problem-solving, balancing quick prototypes with polished production code
• Ensure excellent user experiences by considering frontend performance, SEO, and UI polish
• Ship software while maintaining security and performance across the stack
• Work asynchronously and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

• Proven ability to write clean, production-ready code
• Experience with full-stack development principles
• Strong understanding of web security fundamentals
• Passion for creating exceptional user experiences
• Ability to wear multiple hats and learn quickly
• Familiarity with technologies like Ruby on Rails, Vue.js, and PostgreSQL
• Commitment to writing performant code and solving complex problems creatively
