Blackshark AI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Geo Intelligence team and play a key role in developing our AI platform for object detection. You will work within a highly motivated team to create resilient, high-scale, low-latency distributed microservices that run on hundreds of nodes in the cloud. Your responsibilities include solving complex technical challenges by pushing the limits of ML inference on vast amounts of geospatial data, collaborating with ML engineers and GIS experts to create cutting-edge software products, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of our systems.

Key responsibilities include:
*   Designing, implementing, and optimizing distributed microservices for high-scale operations
*   Integrating various geospatial data sources and developing sophisticated image processing pipelines
*   Collaborating with ML and GIS teams to create innovative geospatial software solutions
*   Ensuring system reliability, performance, and security through best practices
*   Proactively identifying and solving technical challenges
*   Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to architectural decisions

The ideal candidate should have:
*   Strong practical knowledge of Python with experience in dynamic typing
*   Deep understanding of software engineering fundamentals including unit testing, CI/CD, and automated quality assurance
*   Experience with databases like PostgreSQL and familiarity with geospatial tools such as GDAL, RasterIO, ArcGIS, and QGIS
*   Background in developing scalable systems and pipelines, preferably in AWS
*   Experience with OIDC, JWT, and other authentication protocols
*   A degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
