* Leading the design and implementation of significant features, potentially involving ML or real-time communication (WebRTC).
* Mentoring senior engineers and contributing to a culture of technical excellence.

**Responsibilities:**

* Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable, and maintainable systems.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team.
* Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to define technical strategy and roadmaps.
* Drive adoption of best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
* Tackle the most challenging technical problems across the stack (Django, Hotwire, Python, Flutter, Pytorch, Sklearn, SQL, infrastructure).
* Own the technical quality and long-term health of major system components.
* Proactively identify and advocate for improvements in architecture, technology, and processes.

**Technical Skills:**

* Extensive experience in full-stack web development, with deep expertise in backend systems.
* Proven ability to design and architect complex, scalable web applications.
* Mastery of MVC frameworks like Django (preferred) or similar.
*   Strong proficiency in Python.
* Deep understanding of database design, performance tuning, and SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL).
* Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Hotwire/HTMX or similar).
* Experience setting technical direction and leading projects.
* Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP), CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
* Experience with mobile development (Flutter) or ML (Pytorch, Sklearn) is a significant plus.

**Ideal Candidate:**

* You are a highly experienced engineer with a proven track record of technical leadership.
* You excel at architecting robust systems and solving complex technical challenges.
* You can balance technical vision with pragmatic execution.
* You are adept at mentoring other engineers and raising the bar for the team.
* You demonstrate strong ownership and can drive initiatives independently ("Manager of One").
* You possess excellent communication skills and can articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
* You are passionate about building high-quality products that have a positive impact.
* You thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
* Experience in healthcare or telehealth is a plus, but not required.
