**About The Role:** As a Software Engineer III in the Blue Origin Engines business unit, you will lead the development of best-in-class software applications that drive efficiency for program execution. You will work with a passionate team of experts to create tools that support engineering design, manufacturing, supply chain, mission operations, and customer experience. This role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to quality, with the goal of positively impacting safe human spaceflight.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop full stack web applications for inventory and production data visualization
- Create sophisticated front-end GUIs and back-end APIs
- Write code in multiple languages including JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, React, Next.js, CSS, MaterialUI, and Bash
- Design and implement efficient database schemas (normalized and NoSQL)
- Write complex REST, SQL, and GraphQL queries
- Create ETL jobs and materialized views for data processing
- Implement security best practices including API authentication
- Interface directly with customers and subject-matter-experts to gather requirements and improve software
- Lead the development of tools and coordinate deployments
- Mentor junior developers and perform code reviews
- Develop project plans and maintain task tracking
- Ensure business continuity through thorough documentation
- Attend daily standups and be on-call for production support
- Work onsite at Blue Origin offices
- Contribute to the full lifecycle of customer communication

**Required Skills & Ideal Candidate:**
- Computer Science degree or equivalent with 5+ years of development experience
- Expertise in front-end: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, MaterialUI
- Proficiency in back-end: Node.js, server-side frameworks, REST APIs
- Advanced database skills: Complex SQL queries, schema design
- DevOps experience: Cloud deployment (AWS/Azure), Git, CI/CD pipelines
- Strong algorithms and data structures knowledge
- Experience leading junior developers and code reviews
- Project leadership skills
- US citizenship, national, permanent resident, or refugee/asylum status
