Data Migration Specialist

Breezy is a product-focused, early-stage startup building modern software for Residential HVAC contractors. We're the scrappy alternative to ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro. We’re collaborative, remote-first, and deeply customer-obsessed.

We are looking for a Data Migration Specialist to play a crucial role in onboarding new customers. You will be responsible for extracting data from various legacy systems used by HVAC contractors, transforming it, and loading it accurately into the Breezy platform.

Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute data migration plans for new customers.
* Write scripts (e.g., SQL, Python) to extract, transform, and load data (ETL).
* Analyze source data structures and map them to Breezy's schema.
* Perform data cleaning, validation, and quality checks.
* Collaborate closely with the onboarding and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure successful go-lives.
* Document migration processes and best practices.

Requirements:
* Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.
* Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Perl, Bash) for automation and data transformation.
* Experience with data migration projects and ETL workflows.
* Familiarity with different database types and data formats (CSV, JSON, XML).
* Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
* Experience migrating data from industry-specific software (like ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, FieldEdge) is a significant plus.
* Scrappy, product-minded, and enjoys solving real-world data challenges.

This is a contract role with potential to convert to full-time.
