Our team brings together experts from various fields to ensure a holistic approach to every project, creating products that not only meet business objectives but also enhance user experiences and drive innovation in healthcare. **About The Role:** Cactus is seeking a dedicated QA Engineer to join our dynamic and fully remote team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products for healthcare clients. You will be responsible for designing, writing, and executing test plans and test cases for web and mobile applications. This position involves working on a variety of projects with leading healthcare organizations, ensuring that our solutions meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for web and mobile applications. - Execute manual and automated tests across various platforms and browsers to ensure functionality, performance, and usability. - Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues in a timely manner. - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to ensure that quality is built into the development process. - Stay updated with the latest testing tools, techniques, and best practices. - Ensure that all tests meet the requirements of healthcare standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FHIR). - Optimize testing processes and tools to improve efficiency and coverage. - Prepare and present test reports to stakeholders. - Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide detailed bug reports. - Automate repetitive testing tasks to improve efficiency and coverage. - Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in quality assurance. - Work with cross-functional teams to integrate quality assurance practices into the development lifecycle. **Required Skills and Qualifications:** - Proven experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing. - Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation. - Experience with testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG). - Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. - Familiarity with healthcare standards and tools (like EMRs, HIEs, HIPAA, FHIR) is a plus. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation frameworks. - Knowledge of REST APIs and API testing methodologies. - Experience with database testing and query optimization. - Familiarity with security testing principles and practices. **Ideal Candidate:** We are looking for someone who is passionate about quality assurance and has a track record of delivering high-quality software. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, communicating effectively with all stakeholders. Experience in healthcare software is a plus but not required. You should be proactive, meticulous, and enjoy solving complex problems. A background in computer science or a related field is preferred, but practical experience is valued above all. **Compensation:** The estimated pay range for this role is $110,000 - $150,000. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Cactus's equity plan.
