Full Stack Engineer (Django/React)

Canvas is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join our Platform team. You’ll work on building the next generation of spatial computing tools using Django and React. This role involves designing and implementing features for our core products, collaborating with designers and product managers, and ensuring a seamless user experience across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable web applications using Django (backend) and React (frontend)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, build, and iterate new features
• Optimize application performance and scalability
• Ensure high-quality code through testing and code reviews
• Work with our platform team to integrate new technologies and improve existing systems

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer
• Proficiency in Python (Django) and JavaScript (React)
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web development principles
• Experience with database design and optimization
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with 3D visualization or computer vision technologies
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of frontend testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress)
• Understanding of spatial computing concepts
