About the Role:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Charge Robotics, you will be instrumental in designing, building, testing, and iterating on mechanical systems for solar assembly. You will also be responsible for tracking, investigating, and resolving hardware issues with our robots.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing, building, testing, and iterating on mechanical systems for solar assembly
• Tracking, investigating, and resolving hardware issues with robots
• Communicating with other engineers to integrate new designs
• Fabricating parts and collaborating with manufacturing shops
• Playing with very large mechanisms and automation systems

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
• Proficiency with industry-standard CAD software, particularly Onshape
• Ability to fabricate parts and send drawings to manufacturing shops
• Enjoyment of working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Excellent written communication skills

It’d be a plus if you have:

• Experience with industrial robot arms, end effectors, and automation systems
• A 4-year degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
• Passion for renewable energy and climate impact
