About Chirp Family Travel: Chirp Family Travel is a dynamic startup dedicated to solving family-centric urban navigation challenges. Our platform provides intuitive navigation tools, local recommendations, and seamless booking processes designed specifically for families. About The Role: We’re seeking an experienced iOS Developer (Swift) to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work on a product that directly impacts families’ travel experiences. You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our mobile applications, with ownership over features from conception to deployment. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while working with a small, agile team in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance iOS applications using Swift and the latest iOS SDK
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, backend) to implement new features
- Optimize application performance, ensuring smooth user experience across various iOS devices
- Implement and maintain the app’s architecture, ensuring scalability and maintainability
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and maintain code quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks
- Stay current with iOS development trends and best practices
- Develop and implement unit tests and ensure app stability
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience (3+ years) developing iOS applications with Swift
- Strong understanding of iOS architecture and design patterns
- Experience with iOS frameworks (UIKit, SwiftUI, CoreLocation, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of iOS development lifecycle and processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to debug complex issues
- Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON/XML data handling
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Portfolio demonstrating iOS development projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Bonus Points:
- Experience with navigation frameworks and location-based services
- Familiarity with backend development (API design, database interaction)
- Experience with third-party libraries and frameworks
- Knowledge of accessibility features for iOS
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Firebase, etc.)
- Understanding of family-centric applications and user needs
