About The Role: At CIONIC, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team and contribute to the development of our infrastructure, server, and web platforms. This role is critical in shaping the technical backbone of our products, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a fast-paced startup environment, taking products from concept to market. Your expertise will directly impact the user experience by enabling seamless communication between devices and applications, processing real-time data from sensors, and building robust APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of database schemas, APIs, and web-based tools that support our wearable technology.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement the technical vision for our software platform.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a scalable and efficient software team.
• Solve complex challenges related to real-time data processing, scalable cloud infrastructure, and robust API design.
• Work with leadership to prioritize features and manage technical requirements based on consumer needs and business goals.
• Ensure high-quality code through continuous integration, automated testing, and peer code reviews.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on database schemas, APIs, and web-based tools.
• Proficient with AI development tools like Cursor and Github Copilot.
• Strong understanding of server/web stack fundamentals, emphasizing efficient and always available content delivery.
• Solid coding practices, including good documentation, continuous integration, automated testing, and peer code reviews.
• Experience with front-end technologies: Typescript, React, MUI.
• Expertise in middle-tier technologies: Python, Flask, SQLAlchemy.
• Database experience: MySQL, BigQuery.
• Container and orchestration skills: Docker, docker-compose, Helm.
• Infrastructure knowledge: Google Cloud Platform (Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with remote team members.
• BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
