**About The Role:** We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Acquisition Team. This team is responsible for connecting with third-party auction houses, dealers, and venues to bring their inventory into our system and perform additional enrichment to build our extensive database of over a million classic cars. This is a mission-critical role that directly impacts our ability to provide accurate and comprehensive data to our users.

**Key Responsibilities:**
*   Debugging, maintaining, and improving existing Python-based crawlers and ingestion pipelines
*   Designing and building new data acquisition tools and features
*   Collaborating with product and engineering teams to prioritize improvements
*   Identifying opportunities to expand and enrich our dataset
*   Ensuring the reliability and performance of data ingestion processes

**Required Skills and Ideal Candidate:**
*   Proficiency with Python, especially for writing web crawlers and automation scripts
*   Familiarity with databases (both relational PostgreSQL and NoSQL MongoDB)
*   Strong commitment to writing clean, readable, maintainable code
*   Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
*   Self-starter attitude with ownership and a willingness to learn
*   Experience with Scrapy or similar web crawling frameworks is highly desirable
*   Experience with AWS (particularly Lambda) is a plus
*   Interest or expertise in automotive data or classic cars is a major plus
