Role: Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Java) (NYC)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in Backend Java development in New York City. You will take ownership of significant parts of our backend systems, designing scalable solutions, mentoring engineers, and driving technical excellence. This role requires working onsite 5 days a week in our NYC office.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of complex backend services and APIs using Java.
- Architect scalable, reliable, and secure backend systems.
- Mentor junior backend engineers and contribute to team growth.
- Drive best practices in coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical solutions.
- Optimize performance and troubleshoot complex production issues.

Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Java and frameworks like Spring/Spring Boot.
- Deep experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Expertise in database design, optimization (SQL/NoSQL), and caching strategies.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems principles.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting tools.
