Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer

About The Role: We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer to join our dedicated security team. This role involves designing and implementing secure-by-default systems in our cloud-first AWS environment with Kubernetes. You will play a key role in protecting Clio’’s infrastructure from evolving threats while collaborating with engineering, product, and security teams to embed security practices throughout our development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of secure infrastructure components for Clio’’s cloud platform
- Implement and maintain security controls across our AWS architecture
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability management
- Collaborate with security teams to develop and enforce secure coding practices
- Design and implement network security solutions to protect against DDoS and other attacks
- Oversee security monitoring and incident response processes
- Stay ahead of emerging threats and develop countermeasures
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Required Skills and Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in designing and implementing secure cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes security and containerization
- Strong understanding of network security principles and protocols
- Experience with security automation tools and CI/CD pipelines
- Background in threat modeling and risk assessment
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams
- Ability to balance security requirements with business needs
- Experience with cloud security services (AWS Shield, Inspector, Config)
- Familiarity with security compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001)
- Bachelor’’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
