Company: Clutch is building an AI camera for racket sports courts and an app where players can view AI-generated video highlights and game analysis. Like a Strava for racket sports (computer vision instead of GPS). Our initial focus is on the world's fastest growing sport: padel. In just 4 short months since launch, we’ve rolled out the Clutch Cam in partnership with several high-level clubs and investors, from the US to Europe to the Middle East. Clutch is on a mission to build a global AI analytics platform for all racket players. You'll be working with a small but excellent tech team (https://www.clutchapp.io/about).

Role: We’re looking for an experienced backend engineer to join us on our mission. You’ll be working on challenges such as supporting crucial parts of our web infrastructure, building monitoring tools and firmware for our fleet of Clutch Cams and driving the key design decisions behind our AI pipeline web backend.

Responsibilities:
* Support, monitor, and develop intermediate services communicating between camera, computing cluster, and frontend.
* Implement best practices for video recording and streaming on embedded systems (Clutch Cam firmware).
* Drive key design decisions for the AI pipeline web backend.
* Ensure rigorous software development practices and build robust software systems.
* Take ownership of results and proactively look for solutions.

Ideal Candidate: We're looking for a cracked engineer who likes to take ownership and shape the company that they're working in. Minimum qualifications:
* 2+ years industry experience working with one of the following and at least an interest in the other one:
  * Web infrastructure: Supporting, monitoring and developing intermediate services (e.g., using AWS S3, AWS Lambdas, Supabase, queues, Fly.io).
  * Camera firmware and video streaming infrastructure: Implementing best practices of video recording and streaming on an embedded system (e.g., using ffmpeg, Hive, Cloudflare, NervesHub). Knowledge of video streaming protocols.
* Experience with Elixir is a plus.
* Rigorous software development practices, and experience in building robust software systems.

Bonus qualifications:
* A passion for racket sports!
* Experience with Kubernetes and cloud computing infrastructure (GKE is a plus).
* Industry-level experience with Computer Vision methods.
