Role Overview: We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and grow our engineering teams. In this role, you will be responsible for managing engineering teams, setting technical direction, and ensuring delivery of high-quality software products. What You’ll Do:

• Lead and mentor engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Define technical strategy and roadmap for engineering initiatives
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Establish engineering best practices and standards for code quality and development processes
• Conduct performance reviews and career development planning for team members
• Work with stakeholders to prioritize and scope engineering work
• Participate in architecture and design reviews
• Ensure team adherence to security and compliance standards

Requirements:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years in management roles
• Strong technical background with experience in Go, TypeScript, or similar languages
• Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams
• Understanding of agile development methodologies and CI/CD practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to make strategic technical decisions
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AI and developer tools
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and infrastructure
• Familiarity with Coder’s open-source platform
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices
• Understanding of developer experience principles
