Role Overview: We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the documentation initiative for Coder’s platform. This role involves defining and executing the strategy for creating comprehensive, accessible, and user-friendly documentation that helps developers and platform engineers successfully adopt and utilize Coder’s Cloud Development Environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define and execute the product strategy for Coder’s documentation ecosystem
  • Work with engineering and technical writing teams to create clear, comprehensive documentation
  • Gather and synthesize feedback from users to improve documentation quality and usefulness
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure documentation stays current with platform features
  • Develop user personas and journey maps to guide documentation creation
  • Measure and improve documentation effectiveness through analytics and user feedback
  • Coordinate with marketing and community teams on documentation-related initiatives
  • Ensure documentation meets accessibility standards and is available in multiple formats

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably in technical or developer-focused products
  • Strong understanding of developer tools and documentation practices
  • Experience with technical writing and documentation platforms
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, English, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Coder’s platform or similar developer tools
  • Knowledge of developer workflows and pain points
  • Familiarity with documentation tools (Confluence, Docusaurus, etc.)
  • Understanding of developer experience principles
  • Experience with open-source communities
