Product Engineer

**About Column:** Column is building the infrastructure that powers the US dollar globally. We own a nationally chartered bank built from the ground up, processing trillions of dollars annually to support major companies like Wise, Bilt, Brex, Ramp, and Mercury. Our API-first approach allows developers to create financial products without relying on outdated middleware providers.

**About the Role:** We are seeking a Product Engineer to bridge the gap between our technical infrastructure and business needs. This role involves designing, building, and iterating on products that leverage Column's financial infrastructure. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and customers to identify opportunities and deliver impactful solutions in the financial technology space.

**Responsibilities:**
* Define product requirements and roadmaps based on market needs and technical capabilities
* Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement product features
* Conduct user research and analyze data to inform product decisions
* Build and maintain product dashboards, analytics tools, and customer-facing interfaces
* Work with APIs and infrastructure to ensure seamless product integration
* Gather customer feedback and iterate on products to improve user experience
* Present product vision and updates to stakeholders and leadership
* Stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape

**Requirements:**
* Proven experience in product management or engineering with product focus
* Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and API integration
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven approach
* Ability to balance technical constraints with business objectives
* Experience in financial technology or infrastructure products is a plus
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Portfolio demonstrating product success or relevant experience
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience

**Compensation:**
The estimated pay range for this role is $160,000 - $220,000, with potential for equity and bonuses. Column offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

**Location:** This role is based in San Francisco, CA, with occasional onsite requirements. Remote candidates with exceptional qualifications will be considered.
