Software Engineer (Backend)

Column is building the infrastructure that powers the US dollar globally. We are seeking a talented Backend Software Engineer to join our team. You will design and build scalable backend systems that handle trillions of dollars in transactions. This role requires expertise in distributed systems, high-throughput services, and APIs. You will work closely with infrastructure and product teams to ensure our systems are reliable, secure, and performant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement backend services that handle massive transaction volumes
• Optimize system performance for low-latency processing
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to build fault-tolerant systems
• Develop and maintain APIs that integrate with various financial systems
• Work with large datasets and implement efficient data processing pipelines

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in languages like Go, Python, or Java
