About the Role:
We need an experienced Ruby/Rails developer to join our team on a contract basis. You will help build new features and optimize our existing product, Sparkle. This involves working on a large, established application (live for many years) with a mix of greenfield development and maintenance/improvement tasks. You'll handle multiple client deployments with customizations to business logic and look'n'feel.

Responsibilities:
* Develop new features for the Sparkle platform using Ruby on Rails.
* Maintain and optimize existing Ruby on Rails codebase.
* Work on frontend components, including migrating existing Backbone.js components to Vue.js.
* Collaborate effectively with a remote, international team (Germany, New Zealand, Spain, Canada), mostly overlapping with Pacific or Central US time zones.
* Manage deployments and customizations for various healthcare clients.
* Use Github for version control.

Required Skills:
* 3+ years of professional Ruby on Rails experience.

Preferred Skills:
* 1+ year of Vue.js experience.
* 1+ year of experience in the American healthcare industry.
* 1+ year of content management system (CMS) development experience.
* Experience with Backbone.js.
* Experience working autonomously in a remote setting.
