Conduit Tech is an early stage climate tech startup focused on the 10% of all energy use that derives from residential HVAC use. We build tools that enable the clean energy workforce (HVAC pros) to be more productive and effective in designing, selling, and installing high-efficiency HVAC systems. We're working with over 300 HVAC companies across 35+ US states, generating direct product feedback and revenue. Our US-based, fully remote team collaborates closely across product, design, engineering, and customer success.

Role Description:
Conduit Tech is looking for a Lead Product Designer to play a critical role in shaping product development at our early stage climate tech startup. Your contributions will be both tactical and strategic, as we discover new ways for our product to redefine the future of residential HVAC. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and customer success to deliver end-to-end design solutions. As a design generalist, you will fill many roles including user research, early feature discovery, UI/UX design, prototyping, wireframing, and usability testing. You will play a key role in shaping solutions to complex product decisions, using design to guide teams and ensure the product best serves customers.

What You'll Do:
* Lead design efforts for multidisciplinary teams, defining user experience across multiple product surfaces.
* Confront uncertainty and ambiguity to deliver impactful solutions.
* Take a central role in visual design from concept through implementation.
* Design scalable solutions that simplify complex tasks for users.
* Clearly articulate design rationale to peers and stakeholders, considering technical constraints and business goals.
* Facilitate user research interviews and workshops to uncover needs and identify UX shortcomings.
* Craft low and high fidelity prototypes for feedback and hypothesis testing.

Required Skills:
* Proven track record as a design lead (3+ years experience), driving initiatives from concept to release.
* Experience with both tablet (iOS/iPadOS) and web design.
* Highly proficient with design tooling (Figma, Miro, Adobe CC, etc.).
* Experience creating and maintaining design systems.
* Proven understanding of mobile, touch-based interaction patterns and design best practices.
* Ability to think strategically about design integration.
* Experience designing with technical constraints and working directly with engineering.

Compensation & Benefits:
* Salary Range: $165,000 - $200,000 (depending on seniority)
