**The Role:**

Confident LIMS is looking for a hands-on Lead Principal Engineer who is both a stellar engineer and a talented team leader. The perfect candidate will be motivated to make meaningful contributions to the codebase, while having a passion for leading and coaching their 5 engineering teammates. This role involves working closely with Leadership, Product, and Service teams to align engineering efforts with business goals.

**Responsibilities (What You’ll Do):**

*   Write code, troubleshoot, and design architecture for new & existing features across the tech stack: React, Python, PostgreSQL (via SQLAlchemy), AWS.
*   Advise Product on the roadmap - help define appropriate scope, forecast timelines reliably, and hold yourself and the dev team accountable to deliverables.
*   Monitor and address infrastructure health by writing & executing on a technical roadmap.
*   Coach other engineers to be their best by setting high standards, clearing blockers, and leading by example.
*   Represent the engineering team at a leadership level. Set team KPIs & align engineering efforts with Leadership, Product & Service to support business goals.

**Your Skills:**

*   5+ years of software engineering experience, with a track-record of building great products people love.
*   Demonstrated track record as either a leader of a team or a manager.
*   Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Typescript preferred).
*   Proficiency in server-side web technologies (Python/Flask preferred).
*   Experience with PostgreSQL and AWS is beneficial.
