About The Role: We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Call Infrastructure) to join our engineering team. In this role, you will lead the development of our Twilio-based calling and messaging infrastructure, enabling seamless communications between Medicare agents and customers. This is a critical role that will significantly impact our ability to scale and improve our customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of our communication infrastructure using Twilio, Five9, and Zoom
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our communication systems
• Collaborate with product and design teams to define requirements and features
• Work with security teams to ensure our communication systems are secure
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in building and scaling backend systems, particularly with communication infrastructure
• Significant experience with Twilio or similar communication platforms
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and NestJS
• Experience with database design and optimization, particularly with PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
• A track record of leading projects and mentoring other engineers

Compensation: The estimated pay range for this role is $130,000 - $156,000, plus equity.
