About The Role: We are seeking a Software Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing features for our AI code assistant and its associated tools. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software that meets our users’ needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new features and enhancements for the Continue platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Troubleshoot and debug code problems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Participate in architectural decisions and help maintain our technical roadmap
• Optimize application performance and scalability
• Ensure the quality of code through testing and automation
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends

Required Skills and Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proficiency in at least two programming languages from TypeScript, Kotlin, Rust, and Go
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience with front-end or back-end development
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and tools
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
