Generalist Engineer

**About Corgi:**  
Corgi is the first fully AI-powered insurance company automating every aspect of the value chain. We have product-market fit, multi-million-dollar revenue, and substantial funding from Y Combinator. We're hiring Generalist Engineers with strong backend skills to join our growing team. This role is critical in building and maintaining the robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure that powers our AI-driven insurance platform. We work onsite in both San Francisco Bay Area and Salt Lake City offices, with a unique 7-day workweek structure that allows for deep focus and accelerated progress.  

**What You'll Do:**  
- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Go, Django/Python (Flask/FastAPI), and other relevant technologies  
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate backend services with user-facing applications built with React/Next.js/Typescript  
- Work with cloud infrastructure including AWS, Docker, Postgres, and Redis to ensure high availability and performance  
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new features across our platform  
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment  
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge to foster a culture of growth and excellence  

**Requirements:**  
- Proven proficiency in backend programming languages such as Go and Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI)  
- Experience with frontend technologies including React, Next.js, and TypeScript  
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and containerization with Docker  
- Solid grasp of database technologies, including PostgreSQL and Redis  
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an onsite environment and adapt to a demanding 7-day work week  
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to balance short-term tasks with long-term strategic goals
