About the Role:

We are seeking our first Platform Engineers (SRE) to lay the foundation for our distributed systems and infrastructure. This role focuses on the core platform components, including how our overlay clients (built with Wireguard), AI gateway, and control plane (Ruby/Rails backend) interact reliably and scale effectively. You will be responsible for the deployment, observability, reliability, and performance of our infrastructure running on Kubernetes across various environments (cloud, data center, edge).


Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure using Golang, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Packer.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our distributed systems, including overlay networks and the AI gateway.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Collaborate closely with product engineers to understand system requirements and provide a stable platform.
- Implement and champion SRE best practices (e.g., SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, incident management).
- Contribute to building our engineering culture based on mutual respect, shared responsibility, continuous curiosity, and intellectual honesty.


Ideal Candidate:

- Strong experience with Golang and building distributed systems.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud-native technologies.
- Proficient with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Packer.
- Experience with SRE principles and practices (monitoring, alerting, incident response, etc.).
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls) and security principles. Experience with Wireguard is a plus.
- Some experience building with AI or managing AI infrastructure is beneficial.
- Enjoys working in a dynamic, early-stage startup environment.
