Every 3 seconds, someone downloads our app, and we have reached 30% of 18–25 year olds in the US without spending a dime on marketing. We believe that astrology can provide a meaningful framework for understanding ourselves and our relationships.

**About The Role:** We are seeking a Haskell Developer to join our team. You'll be writing Haskell, building ML infrastructure, and scaling data pipelines. This is a full-time, remote-friendly position based in New York City. We are a small team that cares about systems design, poetry, psychoanalysis, and doing things in a principled way. We also care about profitability and efficiency, because they keep us alive.

**What You'll Do / Responsibilities:** 
- Partner closely with product, design, and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions that align with business priorities.
- Break down complex problems to provide insight, technical guidance, and shape scope.
- Own delivery and move quickly. We're looking for someone who eagerly seeks feedback and actively moves the ball forward.
- Write clean, well-documented Haskell code that forms the backbone of our custom stack.
- Build and maintain machine learning infrastructure that powers our horoscope generation.
- Scale data pipelines to handle millions of users worldwide.
- Collaborate with our team of human poets and astrologers to ensure our horoscopes are both technically sound and artistically compelling.

**What You'll Bring / Requirements / Qualifications:** 
- 3-7 years of backend development experience.
- Knowledge of or excitement to learn Haskell.
- You love good documentation and testing. Well-documented, tested code sets your future-self up for success.
- A sense of ownership over work end-to-end, accountability for results, and supportiveness for your team.
- Passionate and pragmatic when problem solving. You focus on outcomes and enjoy solving user problems.
- Strong technical judgment. You can articulate tradeoffs clearly, especially when working with incomplete information.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and databases (we use PostgreSQL).

- A competitive total rewards package, including base salary, equity (stock options), and benefits. Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the tech industry. The target new hire base salary range for this role is $139,000-$200,000.
