About Count: Count is a revolutionary data analytics platform designed to unify various data tools into a single, collaborative workspace. We combine the functionalities of Jupyter, Tableau, and Miro, enabling data teams to iterate models, perform in-depth analyses, and create process flow maps. Our platform is built on custom technologies including a WebGL rendering engine, a data visualization library, and a reactive SQL/Python notebook framework. We are a small, agile team looking for experienced software engineers who are passionate about tackling deep technical challenges in the data analytics space. Our tech stack includes TypeScript, Python, Node, WebAssembly, WebGL, Apache Arrow/Parquet, DuckDB, Kubernetes, and React.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement product features that enhance our collaborative BI tool
  • Work closely with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Optimize the performance of our core product components
  • Develop and maintain our custom rendering engine and visualization libraries
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend services
  • Contribute to the architectural design of our platform

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in TypeScript, React, and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience with frontend optimization techniques for data-intensive applications
  • Strong understanding of web technologies including WebAssembly and WebGL
  • Familiarity with data visualization principles and libraries
  • Experience with React ecosystem and state management
  • Ability to work with backend services and APIs

Ideal Candidate:

  • A software engineer with 5+ years of experience in frontend development
  • Passion for building user-friendly, high-performance web applications
  • Strong background in JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Experience with optimizing complex web applications
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, remote-first environment
  • Experience with technologies like React, WebAssembly, and WebGL is highly desirable
