About The Role: We are seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable systems that handle massive data streams. You will work with our distributed infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of scalable backend systems using Node.js
• Optimize data processing pipelines for big data and streaming workloads
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement features
• Ensure the reliability and performance of our services
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies in distributed systems and cloud computing
• Design and implement “secure by default” systems in collaboration with security teams

Requirements:

• Proven experience leading complex engineering efforts in Node.js development
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and big data technologies
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
• Strong expertise in writing concurrent and distributed code
• Demonstrated ability to make thoughtful system-level tradeoffs
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Passion for building scalable and reliable systems
• Experience with streaming architectures and real-time data processing

Compensation: The estimated pay range for this role is $160,000 - $220,000. This role is eligible to participate in Cribl’s equity plan.
