About CVector: CVector builds software to make energy systems smarter, more reliable, and autonomous. We integrate real-time data visualization and analytics to help power generation stations, chemical plants, and other critical infrastructure make informed decisions in rapidly changing environments. Our remote-first team develops intuitive, robust web apps and backend systems that directly impact industrial operations and energy reliability. We use technologies like Python, TypeScript, React, Supabase, MQTT, Kafka, TimescaleDB, PostgreSQL, and AWS to create solutions that enhance operational efficiency and enable smarter energy management. With occasional domestic travel required for user meetings, we foster a collaborative environment where team members can grow professionally while contributing to impactful projects that drive innovation in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement user interfaces and experiences for complex industrial applications
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web applications
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define and validate design solutions
  • Develop design systems and components to ensure consistency and scalability
  • Translate business requirements into intuitive and accessible user experiences
  • Advocate for users throughout the product development lifecycle

Required Skills & Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in data visualization and complex applications
  • Strong proficiency in design tools including Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
  • Experience creating interactive prototypes and conducting user testing
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
  • Excellent visual design skills with a focus on creating clean, intuitive interfaces
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with technical teams
  • Experience designing for industrial or data-heavy applications preferred
  • Passion for creating designs that improve complex systems and enhance user understanding
