About The Role: We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our talented team. You will work on cutting-edge technologies, building systems that process massive amounts of data from global customers. This role involves designing and implementing features for our observability and security platforms, with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and product managers to solve complex technical challenges and deliver impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable systems that handle high-throughput data processing
  • Optimize performance and reliability of existing infrastructure and applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features
  • Contribute to code reviews and ensure high-quality software delivery
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production environments
  • Stay current with industry trends and apply new technologies to our systems
  • Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across teams

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in software development with languages like Go, Java, Python, or TypeScript
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems and network protocols
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong knowledge of database systems and data modeling
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex systems
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Experience with event streaming platforms (Kafka, Pulsar, etc.)

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have a passion for building scalable systems and a track record of success in high-performance environments. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup-like culture with ambiguous requirements. Experience with observability tools, time-series databases, or distributed tracing systems is highly valued. You should be able to balance short-term deliverables with long-term architectural vision and possess strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with distributed teams.

Compensation: The estimated pay range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000, with potential for bonus and equity.
