    **About The Role:** We are seeking an Applied AI Research Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on advancing our speech and language model capabilities. You will work on real-world problems involving speech recognition, natural language understanding, and text-to-speech synthesis, with the goal of improving the performance and usability of our AI agents.

    **Key Responsibilities:**
    - Conduct applied research in speech processing, NLP, and LLMs to solve customer service challenges
    - Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate research findings into production systems
    - Experiment with state-of-the-art models (e.g., wav2vec2, LLaMA, StyleTTS2)
    - Analyze data and metrics to identify improvement opportunities
    - Contribute to open-source projects and share findings with the AI community
    - Design and implement novel approaches to speech recognition and synthesis
    - Optimize models for accuracy, latency, and resource efficiency
    - Develop and evaluate new features for our voice AI platform

    **Required Skills and Ideal Candidate:**
    - Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
    - Strong background in machine learning, particularly in speech processing and NLP
    - Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
    - Proficiency in Python and experience with AI/ML toolkits
    - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate research into practical applications
    - Strong publication record in AI/NLP is a plus
