**Role Overview:**
Distyl is seeking talented Applied AI Researchers to join our team and push the boundaries of AI application in complex enterprise environments. You will work on challenging research problems, develop novel AI techniques, and collaborate with engineers to translate research breakthroughs into impactful solutions for our clients.

**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct applied research in areas relevant to Distyl's focus, such as systems optimization, large language models (LLMs), reinforcement learning, multi-agent systems, or AI integration.
- Develop and prototype novel AI algorithms and models.
- Design and run experiments to evaluate new techniques on real-world enterprise data and problems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate research findings into the Distyl platform and client solutions.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in AI/ML research by reading papers, attending conferences, and engaging with the research community.
- Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals where appropriate.
- Contribute to Distyl's intellectual property portfolio.

**Qualifications:**
- PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field with a strong research focus.
- Proven track record of research excellence, demonstrated through publications in top AI/ML venues (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, CVPR) or significant contributions to research projects.
- Deep understanding of fundamental AI/ML concepts and advanced techniques in one or more specialized areas.
- Strong programming skills (Python preferred) and experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Ability to formulate research problems, design experiments, and analyze results.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
