Dragonfly Technology is an early-stage startup based in London at the intersection of system design, cloud infrastructure, and artificial intelligence (AI). Our mission is to accelerate the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, particularly generative AI and agentic frameworks, enabling businesses of all sizes to leverage these advancements. Currently in #StealthMode, we’ve raised a significant pre-seed funding round from Tier 1 investors with contributions from outstanding angels. We are now in build mode, having partnered with over 20 world-renowned brands to bring our vision to market. We’re building a generational product that will revolutionize how businesses integrate and utilize modern technologies.

The Role

We’re on the lookout for a Full Stack Engineer who’s especially strong on the front-end. While you’ll absolutely get to work across the stack, this role leans more toward owning and shaping the user-facing side of the product. If you care about great UI, smooth interactions, and building interfaces that people actually enjoy using — we want to talk.

You’ll work closely with the founders, designers, and fellow engineers to bring our first customer-facing platform to life. Expect to wear many hats, move fast, and have a big say in how things are built.

Please note that a previous early stage start-up experience is required for this role.

What You'll Be Doing:

Taking the lead on the front-end of our web app (Next.js + React + TypeScript)
Bringing designs to life in a way that feels fast, polished, and intuitive
Working across the stack when needed — but with a bias toward frontend work
Collaborating on product decisions, UX flows, and overall user experience
Building scalable APIs and backend logic to support the frontend you shape
Managing cloud deployments (we’re on GCP)
Writing clean, testable code with performance in mind
Getting involved in code reviews and helping set solid engineering practices

What we're looking for:

Frontend

Strong experience with React and Next.js
Confident writing modern TypeScript
You know your way around SSR and SSG
Used libraries like Tailwind, ShadCN, or similar component systems
Obsessed with performance and smooth UX (lazy loading, memoisation, etc.)

Backend (you don’t need to be a backend wizard, but solid fundamentals help)

Node.js (Express, NestJS, or similar)
Building and consuming APIs (REST or GraphQL)
Auth basics (JWT, OAuth, Firebase Auth)
Familiar with Postgres, Firestore or Mongo
Comfortable using an ORM (Prisma, TypeORM, etc.)

Cloud & DevOps

Experience deploying on GCP
Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Cloud Build)
Docker basics for containerised deployments

Testing & Code Quality

Experience writing unit/integration tests (Jest, Cypress, RTL)
Uses ESLint, Prettier, etc.
Can debug and profile efficiently

Nice-to-haves:

Worked with serverless (Firebase, Vercel)
GraphQL experience (Apollo Server/Client)
Microservices familiarity
Real-time features (Socket.io)
Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi)
Startup experience or technical leadership

Why Join Us

This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape the product and the codebase from day one. You won’t just be implementing tickets — you’ll help decide what we build, how we build it, and what the user experience should feel like. If you’re someone who thrives in creative, fast-moving environments and loves sweating the details on the front-end, this is your playground.

Let’s build something people love to use.
