Senior Android Engineer

DuckDuckGo is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join our team. You will work on building and owning features for our mobile applications, using Android technologies. Recent projects include implementing performance improvements and new features for our mobile apps.

As a Senior Android Engineer, you’ll build scalable user interfaces for our mobile applications, leading and contributing to developing new and existing features. You will demonstrate ownership over major components of our codebase while taking responsibility for their maintenance and improvement over time.

Requirements:

• Proven experience leading complex engineering efforts focused on mobile applications
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills
• A track record of contributing to long-term technical roadmaps
• At least 8+ years of coding experience in languages like Java or Kotlin
• Strong expertise in writing concurrent and distributed code
• Extensive experience designing and building distributed systems
• Deep expertise in mobile systems, with familiarity across adjacent infrastructure domains
