Senior ML Engineer

We were recently acquired by Qualcomm, who have a crazy ambitious vision for bringing AI within reach of every embedded engineer. Our platform is cited in thousands of research papers, and we are a Gartner Cool Vendor in Edge Computing. This role involves leadership, mentoring, and process design in addition to engineering, software architecture, and programming. There will be room to grow and potentially manage others as we expand our research team from 6 to 10+ researchers and engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor within the team, defining engineering standards and helping research engineers build high-quality and maintainable systems.
• Own our ML and DSP production codebase, ensuring that our production code is robust, maintainable, and tested.
• Coordinate with the company’s full-stack and embedded engineering teams to help integrate new features and support existing ones.
• Involve high-level software architecture, development, and supporting production code through bug triage and fixes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of Python and dependency management, along with deep learning and scientific computing libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Numpy, Scikit-Learn.
• Experience designing software libraries and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience on a remote-first team.
