Edgeless Systems is a team of ~20 people building cutting-edge open-source tools for confidential computing and a "confidential GenAI" service (Privatemode) on top of those. Their mission is to make confidential computing accessible and scalable, eliminating infrastructure risks for sensitive data processing.

As a Software Engineer, you will join a dynamic team working on products that span unusually far across the tech stack, from measured boot and low-level hardware features (AMD SEV-SNP, Intel TDX) through Kubernetes operators, up to JavaScript frontends. You'll contribute to core open-source projects (like those found at https://github.com/edgelesssys/) and the Privatemode GenAI service (https://www.privatemode.ai/).

Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, test, and maintain software components across various layers of the stack.
* Contribute to Edgeless Systems' open-source projects.
* Work with confidential computing technologies and cloud-native tools.
* Collaborate effectively within a distributed team (Remote EU options available).

Technical Skills:
* Proficiency primarily in Go (Golang).
* Experience or interest in Rust and JavaScript is beneficial.
* Familiarity with Nix / NixOS for build and deployment systems.
* Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
* Understanding of or strong interest in confidential computing concepts and technologies (e.g., AMD SEV-SNP, Intel TDX).
* Knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure, particularly LLMs (e.g., vLLM), is a plus.

Ideal Candidate:
* Passionate about security, privacy, and open-source software.
* Comfortable working across a broad technical landscape.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
