About The Role: We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our team and build the infrastructure that powers our AI research assistant. You will play a key role in designing and implementing data pipelines that enable our machine learning models to process and analyze large-scale research data. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge data engineering challenges and contribute to our mission of scaling up good reasoning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines for processing research data at scale
• Develop and maintain data storage solutions that can handle large volumes of structured and unstructured data
• Optimize data processing workflows for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Collaborate with machine learning engineers to ensure data quality and accessibility
• Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for data infrastructure

Required Skills and Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in designing and implementing data pipelines using technologies like Airflow, dbt, or similar
• Strong background in SQL and data warehousing concepts
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure for data engineering
• Familiarity with data modeling and database optimization techniques
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, low-bureaucracy environment
• Passion for building robust and scalable data infrastructure

Compensation: The estimated pay range for this role is $130,000 - $190,000. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Elicit’s equity plan.
