About The Role: We are seeking a Front-End Engineer to join our team and build the user interface that powers our AI research assistant. You will play a key role in designing and implementing intuitive and responsive user interfaces that enable researchers to interact with our product effectively. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge web technologies and contribute to our mission of scaling up good reasoning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement intuitive and responsive user interfaces using modern web technologies
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Optimize application performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility
• Build and maintain testing frameworks to ensure code quality
• Contribute to the development of our design system and component library

Required Skills and Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in building web applications using React or similar frameworks
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience with state management solutions like Redux or Context API
• Familiarity with modern build tools and workflows like Webpack or Vite
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, low-bureaucracy environment
• Passion for creating intuitive and accessible user experiences

Compensation: The estimated pay range for this role is $140,000 - $200,000. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Elicit’s equity plan.
